Cosmetology
This course covers hair, nails, makeup, and skin care. Each student will receive instruction on chemicals used for coloring, perming, waving, relaxing, styling, and cutting. You will also learn about acrylic, silk, and gel nails and nail design. To complete the look, you will learn about various makeup application techniques and how to give a makeover. Finally, you will receive skin care tips on facials, manicures and pedicures, and waxing. Please note that courses are 1,500 class and clinic hours, takes a minimum of 13 months to complete which figures in to 30 hours a week.

Cosmetology Instructor
Classes on becoming an instructor are available after you have completed your course in cosmetology. Continuing education is a required 750 hour course. You will be trained how to instruct and teach the cosmetology course: This course covers hair, nails, makeup, and skin care. Each student will receive instruction on chemicals used for coloring, perming, waving, relaxing, styling, and cutting. You will also learn about acrylic, silk, and gel nails and nail design. Also, you will receive skin care tips on facials, manicures and pedicures, and waxing. Finally, you will be trained and prepared for the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology Licensing Examinations.
